Over the past week there have been two major aspects which I have been focusing on, both which have affected my project, and not necessarily in a bad way.

First of all, is what I have been researching. In a previous post from this week, I have discussed my re-interest in the world of manga and anime, after having seen Akira over the Easter Holidays and reading some manga whilst as work (https://havenmilne20.wixsite.com/website/post/april-8th-to-25th-2022-black-and-white-yet-grey).

What has really drawn me to the art style is the use of halftones in the artwork, as I think it could be of real use in my artwork when creating the illustrations and panels for my stories/comic/short graphic novel. This will be something that I will try and adapt to my artwork over the next week and see how it changes the presentation of the images I had created, when compared to the past iterations that do not feature the halftones.

Secondly, I have also noticed that the difference between the sheets of greyboard that I use to create my prints, vary with their results, even with the slightest change of thickness, material, size and density of the greyboard, it all affects my prints. So, in order for my prints to work and create successful pieces for my project/outcome, the greyboard which I use will remain the same throughout, that is why greyboard has already been ordered in a large quantity, that so I have more than enough to work with, and keep the consistency and continuity throughout the prints that I make.

Thirdly, discussion are beginning to happen as to how I am going to be displaying the artwork and final outcomes for the presentation aspect of the project. As of now, I know that I want the finished prints of the story to be placed next to each other on a wall, so that you can walk past them and read the story at the same time. Yet, as of now, I do not know how these large scale versions of my prints are going to be mounted onto the walls, the only suggestion I have had from a lecturer is to use foam core boards.
