March 15th - 2022: The Dark Print

So, following on from my first experimentation with the printing materials, it is clear that wood is going to be a strong choice when printing the panels, whilst the lino will not be (reasons made in previous post).


With that, moving forward, I have today continued to create more panels digitally and physically using ProCreate, then laser engraving and cutting them into plywood. For the next session which I will do within the next week, I am going to work more with colour, and not just with the card, but with inks as well, possibly even mixing a couple of colours again.


For a future session, not the next one, I will also look at doing a selection of silk screen prints of my panels, as well as some intaglio etching prints. For now though, show below are a pair of wood blocks I have made ready to print in my next session, as well as selection of prints that have dried from the first experiment session:
